La communauté des co-acheteurs Anima Vinum, qu’est ce que c’est ?
Un groupe de fidèles co-acheteurs, qui participe et achète année après année avec nous à la Vente des Hospices de Beaune. Nous nous retrouvons chaque printemps pour la dégustation des cuvées du millésime que vous avez acquis et pour partager un repas, voire deux, voire trois !
Quelle est la plus-value Anima Vinum ?
Nous dégustons les 50 cuvées (désormais 51) plusieurs fois à la cuverie des Hospices de Beaune dès le mois d’octobre. En vous inscrivant dans la boucle, vous recevez nos commentaires exhaustifs des cuvées du millésime en cours. Quelques jours avant la vente, nous fixons et vous communiquons un prix plafond sur chaque cuvée, plafond que nous ne dépasserons pas au moment des enchères.
En quoi consiste l’achat en primeur ?
Vous achetez vos vins deux années avant leur commercialisation publique, pendant qu’ils sont en cours d’élevage. Vous bénéficiez alors d’un prix plus avantageux.
Comment co-acheter avec Anima Vinum ?
Il suffit de vous inscrire au préalable sur notre site, sur ce lien ou de nous envoyer un mail (lescargot@animavinum.fr).
Vous recevrez nos newsletter avec toutes les informations nécessaires. Si toutefois, vous ne receviez pas de mail, regardez bien dans vos spams et autorisez notre nom de domaine à communiquer avec vous librement. (généralement, un clic droit sur le mail figurant dans la spambox, “Autoriser le nom de domaine” suffit).
A n’importe quel moment, vous pouvez retrouver les informations relatives aux dégustations et à la Vente du millésime sur notre site – Rubrique Hospices de Beaune – Suivez le millésime pas à pas.
Suite à nos informations, communiquez-nous votre intention d’achat sur le mail suivant : lescargot@animavinum.fr. Précisez bien le nombre de bouteilles que vous souhaitez acquérir en fonction de chaque cuvée le vendredi avant la vente et jusqu’au samedi soir dernier carat, puis nous revenons vers vous le lundi qui suit pour confirmer ou rectifier vos achats.
Que se passe-t-il si le plafond fixé est dépassé durant la vente ?
Si le prix que nous avions estimé a été dépassé durant les enchères, vous serez prévenu et trois possibilités s’offrent à vous : vous avez le choix de vous rétracter et ne pas poursuivre cet achat en particulier, celui de décider de reporter votre achat sur des bouteilles d’une autre cuvée, ou bien, vous maintenez votre souscription et vous acceptez par là même un prix plus élevé pour lequel vous devrez verser le montant complémentaire.
Qui peut acheter avec Anima Vinum ?
Tout le monde ! Que vous soyez particulier ou professionnel. A partir de 6 bouteilles, 3 magnums ou 1 jéroboam.
Quels vins puis-je acheter ?
Il est possible de se positionner uniquement sur les cuvées sélectionnées par Anima Vinum, c’est à dire, celles qui figurent dans le tableau final que nous vous envoyons trois jours avant la Vente.
Est-ce que je peux acheter la totalité d’un fût ?
Oui ! Même plusieurs. La seule quantité minimale est celle de 6 bouteilles, 3 magnums ou 1 jéroboam. Vous choisissez un (ou plusieurs) type(s) de conditionnement au moment de votre souscription, avant la Vente.
Que comprend le prix final ?
La démarche de l’Escargot Vigneron est globale : de la sélection des meilleures cuvées grâce à notre expertise, à l’élevage par nos vignerons artisans, le choix des meilleures matières sèches : les bouteilles sont cirées, numérotées, bouchées avec du liège naturel produit par un des meilleurs artisans bouchonniers et les étiquettes sont personnalisées avec le nom de l’acquéreur (Anima Vinum) ou celui du co-acheteur (le vôtre!). Le tout, présenté dans de très belles caisses bois et pour un vin qui exprime toute la magie des Hospices…
Quand sont livrés les vins ?
Nous avons pris le parti de les élever dans les règles de l’art (artisanal) et de les confier à des vignerons dont nous savons qu’ils interviendront très peu, laissant au vin toute sa vitalité et sa capacité d’exprimer à la fois les terroirs, le fruit. Ainsi, vous recevrez vos vins deux ans après la vente (voir ici la chronologie générale), afin de leur laisser tout le temps nécessaire pour devenir de grands vins.
Puis-je acheter de vieux millésimes ?
Bien sûr, nous achetons des cuvées des Hospices de Beaune depuis 2005 et possédons ainsi un large choix de millésimes. Contactez-nous sur le mail lescargot@animavinum.fr
Si je m’inscris, suis-je obligé d’acheter ?
Il existe deux situations bien distinctes :
L’inscription et la Souscription.
L’inscription n’engage à rien : la seule conséquence est que la personne recevra les Newsletters et les e-mails d’information.
La Souscription est une démarche différente : le client réserve les bouteilles sur une ou plusieurs cuvées à des conditions tarifaires définies AVANT la vente, afin de bénéficier de conditions d’achat dites de «Primeurs ». Le prix de souscription annoncé est un prix maximum. Un acompte est demandé afin de valider la souscription. Si au lendemain de la vente, la cuvée a été acquise au maximum à ce prix, la souscription est confirmée.
Si au contraire la cuvée a été achetée à un prix supérieur, le souscripteur se voit proposer plusieurs options :
- Il peut annuler purement et simplement sa souscription et se voir remboursé de son acompte.
- Il peut maintenir sa souscription en acceptant un prix de souscription plus élevé : un acompte complémentaire sera demandé.
- Il peut annuler sa souscription et se positionner a posteriori sur une cuvée différente.

Who are the co-buyers who participate in the Anima Vinum wine auction?
They represent a group of repeat clients who participate year-after-year with us at the Hospices de Beaune wine auction. Co-buyers are part of a community passionate about wine: they are invited every spring to taste the cuvées of the vintage in which they have just acquired a share, and to share a meal – maybe even two or three!
What is the added value of Anima Vinum?
We taste the 50+ cuvées several times at the Hospices de Beaune winery starting in October. By registering yourself in our mailing list, you’ll receive our detailed tasting notes on the cuvées of the current vintage. A few days before the sale, we will fix and communicate to you a maximum price we are willing to bid on each cuvée, which we will not exceed during the auction.
What does it mean to purchase en primeur?
It means buying your wines two years before they are marketed to the public, while they are being aged. You benefit from a far more attractive price and have access to wines that may not be easy to find at a later date when they are more in the public eye.
How does one co-purchase with Anima Vinum?
All you have to do is register in advance on our site, via the link, or send us an email asking to join our mailing list (lescargot@animavinum.fr).
You’ll receive our newsletter that contains all the details. If you don’t find the emails, be sure to check your spam folder and allow emails from our domain (most email clients have a feature where you can identify as sender as ‘not spam’).
Meanwhile, you can find information on tastings and the wine auction on our website, under the Hospices de Beaune section, where you can follow each step of the development of the vintage.
After you’ve received the final auction details and price list, let us know your purchase intentions at the following email: lescargot@animavinum.fr. Specify the number of bottles that you wish to acquire for each cuvée on the Friday before the sale up until Saturday evening at the latest (strictly speaking an order can be taken on Sunday up to the start of the auction). We’ll get back to you by Monday confirming your purchase or making any necessary adjustments.
What happens if the maximum price in the price list is exceeded during the sale?
If our maximum price is exceeded during the auction, you will be alerted to this fact and you’ll have three options: you may decline and not make the purchase for this particular item, you may choose to apply the purchase value to a different cuvée, or you may maintain the subscription and accept a higher subscription price, for which an additional deposit will be requested.
Who can purchase with Anima Vinum?
Everyone! Regardless of whether you are an individual or a professional buyer. Starting with 6 bottles for a cuvée in which you participate (or their equivalent: 3 magnums or 1 jeroboam).
What wines can I purchase?
You may purchase any of those wines in the extensive list of cuvées selected by Anima Vinum, in other words, those that appear in the final spreadsheet that we send you three days before the auction.
Can I purchase an entire barrel?
Yes, indeed! You may even buy several. The only stipulation is the minimum purchase per cuvée of 6 bottles (or 3 magnums or 1 jeroboam). You choose which bottle format(s) you wish when you place your subscription order prior to the auction.
What does the final price represent?
The service provided by Anima Vinum is from A to Z: from selecting the best cuvées based on our expertise, to the élevage by our artisan winegrowers, to the choice of the best dry matter: the bottles are waxed, numbered, corked with natural cork produced by one of the best cork makers, and the labels are personalized with the name of the buyer (Anima Vinum) or that of the co-buyer (any name you specify!). The final bottles are presented in exquisite wood cases that cradle a wine expressing the full mystique of Hospices de Beaune.
When are wines available for delivery or pickup?
We subscribe to the philosophy of raising the wines in true artisanal fashion, entrusting them to specialists whom we know well and who will keep their intervention to a minimum, leaving the wine its full vitality and ability to express the terroirs and the fruit. You will receive your bottles for delivery (or pick up) two years after the auction in order to give them all the time necessary to become great wines. Click here for a sample timeline.
Can I buy older vintages?
Certainly. We have been buying Hospices de Beaune cuvées since 2005 and thus have a wide selection of vintages available. For more information, write to us at lescargot@animavinum.fr
If I’m registered on your list, am I obligated to purchase?
There is an important distinction: registration and subscription.
Being registered on our list is in no way binding: you simply receive newsletters and informational emails.
Subscription is different: the customer (co-buyer) reserves bottles for one or more cuvées with price limits defined PRIOR TO the auction, in order to benefit from so-called “Primeur” purchasing conditions. The announced subscription price is a maximum price. A deposit is required to validate the subscription. If, on the day after the auction, the cuvée has been acquired at or below this maximum price, then the subscription purchase is confirmed.
If, on the other hand, the cuvée was purchased at a price above the specified maximum, then the subscriber is offered either of the following options:
1. S/he can simply cancel the subscription for this line item and be reimbursed the corresponding deposit.
2. S/he can maintain the subscription and accept a higher subscription price, for which an additional deposit will be requested.
3. S/he can cancel his subscription and apply the amount to the purchase of a different acquired cuvée.
Remember that for any subscription, you must send your order on the Friday or Saturday preceding the auction (i.e. the third Friday of November) to the following address: lescargot@animavinum.fr (strictly speaking, orders may be taken just up to the start of the auction proper).
